I knew it before I got to the end of the first line...I know you were thinking of ME while you wrote this, YOU bastard.

Though I caught on quickly, I did have some tightening of the throat as I first started reading, which was entirely uncool...

You have violated forum rules (read below) and will be slapped with a ruler by whomever the forumites deem appropriate from the various likenesses posted by Monte...

Had me going for a second too, because there IS a preview listening party for RT 2.2 on that site with 3 complete songs from the 2-14-1968 set, and the preview includes 2 bonus songs not from 2-14-68 (Viola Lee Blues and Beat It On Down The Line).

Is there any interest in seeing footage (some silent) with some of the actual audio - a few seconds worth, so it's not much - from the Panhandle '67 show (apparently outtakes from Hippie Temptation, or else someone else was filming that same day when they played Dancing In The Street, when Weir was wearing the white hat and Jerry the striped sweater).

The Deadbase mentions they played Yonder's Wall (the few words Jerry sings sound more like it's Hey Gyp: "I'll buy you a ...");
and Pig sings King Bee (that's for certain).

Plus there's some jamming that sounds like it's from Viola Lee Blues, and stage banter by Babbs (or one of the Pranksters).

The Dead Announce Movie Series on Lifetime Network

Following their appearance on The View earlier this week, the members of the Dead have announced a film production deal that will appeal to their emerging new demographic. On the heels of the recent Nora Roberts Lifetime Movie Series, The Dead will brand a number of films on the Lifetime Network with narrative arcs that complement the group’s canon of songs.

The first such effort, “Brokedown Palace,” set in the Kansas frontier of the 1850’s, stars Warren Haynes as a burly woodsman who begins an unlikely romance with a prim schoolmarm (Phil Lesh) while rebuilding a log cabin decimated by storm. This will be followed by “It Must have Been The Roses,” a love triangle set in a floral shop, starring Bob Weir, LeAnn Rimes and Joy Behar. Also in the works is “Black Peter” about the tragic impact of venereal disease on a “perfect” suburban couple.
